It has been a year since I’ve done my SMP treatment, the reason it has taken me this long to submit my review is because I was waiting to see if the treatment was able to last this long and it did. I started losing my hair in my early 20s. To keep my youthful appearance, I chose to wear a hair system. After a couple years I got sick of the maintenance involved. Having to constantly style it (using many different products), the restrictions (avoiding getting overly sweaty, not swimming, etc), and the frequent upkeep became too much.

So I decided to try SMP with Yvonne & have loved the freedom.

I appreciate all the changes and notice the difference every day. My scalp is no longer itchy from wearing the system. I don’t need to spend 10 minutes after every shower making sure the system looked perfect. I didn’t wear hats because it flattened the system & didn’t look nice anymore (now I can wear hats without fear). I can play sports, swim, and do anything I want without any second thoughts.

I highly recommend making the transition. Thanks again, Yvonne!

After going through pictures and videos of other SMP experiences, I kept hearing the same thing over and over. It is not the procedure that you should be studying. It is the Artist and her work. After falling in love with her past work, I introduced myself to Yvonne. She made me feel like she cared about everything even more than I did. Having gone through FUE (Hair Transplant) and spending lots of money and going through the pain and recovery, I did not have much luck with the procedure. I decided to try SMP (Scalp Micropigmentation NOT at Hair Illusions), again, with not great results and again, spent a lot of money and went through unnecessary pain.
I was very fortunate to get recommended to Yvonne. She is very professional and her work speaks for itself. She is very accommodating and will work around your schedule. I thought the SMP would be painful from my prior experiences but once Yvonne started, I realized that I was in good hands, as it was not painful at all.
Its been well over a year now and it looks exactly the same as when she finished it. Having gone through many different options, I wish I found Yvonne first.

Let me start this review with two words, "Book Immediately". I will come back to why at the end of my review. I recently had the good fortune to have Yvonne Pine of Hair Illusions provide me with one of her "work of art" pieces in the form of a Scalp Micropigmentation procedure. This is my second such procedure, the first being several years ago with a provider which at the time, was an industry leader in Scalp Micropigmentation. While I was quite pleased with the previous results from the other provider, my recent procedure and overall experience with Yvonne has risen the bar expedentionally. Yvonne's skill set, attention to detail, and dedication to customer satisfaction make her a true stand out in her field. Most importantly, Yvonne absolutely refuses to take any short cuts that could jeopardize the natural appearance of her work. Make no mistake about it, Yvonne's artwork will improve your overall look immensely, you just have to take the next step and connect with her. Back to my opening words of wisdom, "Book Immediately". While Yvonne has already been recognized within her industry for her unique atistic talent, once her work becomes more widly known outside the industry, she will be booked solid and getting an appointment will be more of a challenge. I take great pleasure in providing this review and recommending Yvonne Pine and Hair Illusions to anyone who not only wants the best for themselves, but will not accept anything less.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

All new procedures include consultation and ONE follow-up appointment to enhance the initial design and/or colour. Follow-up appointment MUST occur within four months from your original procedure.
Touch-up maintenance on some areas maybe required every 1-2 years to freshen up or brighten the general shape and color. After 3 years, a full treatment maybe required depending on degree of fading.
If you have rosacea (redness of the face), have thin or sensitive skin, you may not be a suitable candidate for the permanent makeup procedure(s) as your skin will not be able to hold many colors due to its thinness and sensitivity. In some situations, multiple treatments may be required to achieve reasonable results at an additional cost.
Eyelash extensions MUST be removed at least 48 hrs. PRIOR to eyeliner procedures.
Eyelash growth serums such as Latisse MUST be discontinued for at least 1 month prior to treatment.
If you have existing permanent makeup from another artist, we may not be able to perform a new permanent makeup procedure on your skin. It may be recommended to remove any signs of your previous tattoo with laser prior to your new procedure. Please discuss this with your technician during your consultation.
Please keep in mind we do have a 24-hour cancellation policy in effect.
